Fort Bend Hope Summer Reading Camp

Students will practice reading skills in different ways while having fun at the same time! There will be themed days and guest speakers as well. Summer Reading Camp will run from July 8th - August 8th. Complete for FORM to register.

Fort Bend Libraries - Libraries Rock

Fort Bend County Libraries presents special reading clubs during the summer to encourage reading among children from birth and up, as well as teens and adults.  "A Universe of Stories is the theme for this year’s Summer Reading Club. Online registration for the 2019 Summer Reading Clubs begins Monday, May 27, and will continue through August 31, at all Fort Bend County Libraries (FBCL) locations. Library programs and activities for children begin during the week of June 3, and continue through July 27.

Wharton County Libraries Summer Reading Program

Kids of all ages are guaranteed to get a spark of imagination through the Summer Reading Program! Program activities include craft time, movie time, lego club, story time, and special performers. Sign up at your local library branch within Wharton County to enjoy A Universe of Stories!

Bay City Summer Reading Challenge

Kids ages 4 through teens and adults are encouraged to sign up for the Bay City Public Library Summer Reading Program Reading Challenges. The top 20 readers aged 4 - 12 will receive tickets to a special interactive trip to Nana’s House of Treats for a demonstration of the candy making machines and a bag of candy filled with their choice of sweets. Teen and Adult readers who leave a review for every book read Every review submitted between June 11th and July 26th will get you an entry for the TEEN PRIZE BAG or the ADULT PRIZE BAG, both filled with goodies, such as books, gift cards, and literary swag.

West Columbia Summer Reading Program

Join the Brazoria County Library System to explore "A Universe of Stories" June 1st - July 31st where you can register yourself and your family. Start reading and earn prizes all summer long through the Summer Reading Program!

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program

Kids in 1st through 6th grade can read any eight books this summer and record them in a Summer Reading Journal. Take the completed Reading Journal into a Barnes and Noble store between August 1 and August 31, and your child can choose a free book from the list featured on the back of the journal. Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge 2019

Kids can join the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge! Read your favorite books, then log your reading minutes online to unlock rewards for awesome virtual prizes. Kids can also take a reading adventure with recommended titles and enter to win free books from Klutz. The program runs now through September 6.

Chuck E. Cheese's Reading Rewards

Summertime and any time, download and print out Chuck E.’s Reading Rewards Calendar. Mark the days off with a pen or sticker as your child accomplishes their goals. Bring in a completed calendar to Chuck E. Cheese’s and receive 10 free tokens as a reward. The restaurant also offers rewards calendars for other great behaviors - clean room, getting dressed, and overall good behavior. Check out the program here.

Half-Price Books - Feed Your Brain Summer Reading Program

Slay dragons. Ride broomsticks. Unlock portals. Cast spells. FEED YOUR BRAIN® ; fuel the power of imagination this summer. Kids read 15 minutes per day to earn Bookworm Bucks at local Half-Price Books locations. (Grown-ups may read aloud to kids who are still learning.) Download and use this reading log in June and July. Kids can add up the minutes and have parents or guardians initial each week. Upon reaching 300 minutes or more, kids can visit a local HPB store to claim Bookworm Bucks on or before August 29, 2019.
